SIN-AUTO Cookies and Tracking: What We Use, Why, and How to Control It
This is the next instalment in our data protection series, after our notes on retention and deletion and on marketing communications. Instead of paraphrasing a template, we audited our own public pages on 30 September 2026 and are reporting what the audit found. For a dealer who runs due diligence before signing, that is the only version of this page that is worth reading.
What the audit found
Our public pages do not set tracking cookies. The pages we checked returned no Set-Cookie header at all. The only third-party scripts delivered with the page belong to Cloudflare, our infrastructure provider: an email obfuscation helper and Cloudflare's web analytics beacon, which Cloudflare documents as a cookieless measurement service. No advertising pixel, retargeting tag or third-party analytics SDK is loaded. There is no consent banner because, today, there is nothing to consent to.
What we do store in your browser
Functional preferences live in your browser's own local storage rather than in a server-side profile of you:
- Language and region, so the site reopens where you left it.
- Interface preferences such as list or grid views and filters you set.
- Anything you save while browsing, which stays on your device.
Because that data never leaves your device, clearing your browser data removes it completely, and we cannot restore it for you.
What Cloudflare sees, and why that matters
Cloudflare proxies, caches and protects our traffic, so it necessarily sees technical request data such as IP address, user agent and requested URL as part of delivering the site and blocking abuse. Its analytics beacon reports aggregate page views without cookies. This is the one third party that handles page-level data by default, and it does so as a processor on our instructions, under our agreement with them.
What we do not do
- We do not place advertising or retargeting cookies, so there is nothing to opt out of today.
- We do not sell or rent personal data, and we do not build cross-site behavioural profiles of visitors.
- We do not require a marketing consent to let you browse stock.
How to control it
- Browser settings let you block or clear cookies and site data for sin-auto.com, or for every site.
- A private window forgets local storage when you close it, which is useful on a shared office computer.
- Ask us for the current list of third-party services and data categories before you sign anything; we will answer in writing.
- Privacy signals such as Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control currently have nothing to switch off here, because we ship no advertising code. If that changes, we will treat those signals as controlling.
If we add analytics later
We may add measurement tools as the export platform grows. If we do, we will name the provider and the purpose on this page before the tool goes live, provide an opt-out where the law requires one, and keep the analytics configuration as privacy-preserving as the provider permits. Dealers in the EU and the UK will be told in advance if a consent requirement applies to them.
Questions about cookies, tracking or our processing of enquiry data are welcome before you place an order, not only after. Contact our export desk and we will put the answer in writing.
